Notary fee
The fee a notary office charges to certify the home sale contract, set in tiers by the contract value.
How it works in Vietnam
In Vietnam a sale between individuals must be notarised (công chứng) before the title moves to the buyer. A higher contract value means a higher fee, but the rate gets smaller in the upper tiers and the top tier has a cap.
Buyer and seller agree who pays; the calculator assumes the buyer. The fee a notary office collects already includes VAT.
